December 21 brings us Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year and a time to celebrate Nature’s New Year! Today, we get catapulted into a new season and with it, come so many good things.
What is Winter Solstice?
Winter Solstice marks the first day of winter, or, the official beginning of astronomical winter. This is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and on this day, our planet is tilted as far from the sun as possible

We take the day to celebrate the changing of the seasons and soak in all the good energies this day brings.
How to Celebrate
There are different ways of celebrating everywhere you look. Really, it all means that we take the time to acknowledge this wonderful day full of change, reflection and new beginnings.
It’s the perfect day to
- write a gratitude list
- take a walk in nature
- create a vision board or a dream board
- break out the Tarot Cards
- ask the oracle cards
- write a note to a loved one
- hang a Christmas Wreath
- wear your crystals
- light a candle
- sit in meditation
and, it’s the perfect day to release & let go. Release what no longer serves you and soak in the wonderful energies of change.
