I have come to the realization that I am terrible about sticking to a “to-do” list or a schedule for that matter! A month has passed since my last post! Apologies to my loyal readers as August is almost mid way!

The last month that has seen so much!

The past 4 weeks have seen the lowest of lows (which I intend to keep to myself for now) and the highest of highs. Many road trips and many miles covered with new friends and great memories!

But now, now it’s time to get back to work. Get back to a schedule and get back to the new me.

Metamorphosis

b: a striking alteration in appearance, character, or circumstances.

This is one of the definitions as by the Merriam-Webster dictionary, and the fitting one for this post.

So why did I say “the new me”? We (as humans) are constantly changing. Sometimes for the better, and sometimes for the worse… always aim for the better! It is true though both sides of the spectrum are there. The last few weeks have tried to change me in both directions. It is up to us as to which way we send the energy of change.

That being said, I believe this metamorphosis that was the last few weeks is over, and feel as though I can now breathe & spread my wings and adapt to this new environment. A new version of me that sees things a bit differently.

After chatting with one of my business partners just a few minutes ago, we talked about how we change so much through the years, and certain points of life create more change than others. This is what fueled today’s topic.

Butterfly

Using the butterfly as an analogy; allow yourself to change and grow as you never know the beautiful colors you can take on as your metamorphosis completes. Then fly and carry yourself proudly until the next time change is needed.

Adapting to change is not always easy, and we tend to fight it. At least, I have discovered, that I do. You will catch me talking about change quite frequently and how it is good, how we need it. However, after this last change, this last metamorphosis, I will now also add that change is incredibly HARD sometimes. And that’s okay. Don’t rush it, don’t force it, let it happen. You’re not always going to see the why immediately, and sometimes you never will. But, let it happen.

Change

Change is inevitable. You simply cannot control everything, and if you don’t allow for change now, it will literally slap you in the face one day. Situations change, life changes, people come, people go, environment and surroundings also change. Change is everywhere.

As hard as it can be, we must accept and adapt to change. Grow and change as you need to. Even though we don’t always see it, change is good. Go, spread your wings and be the best version of you!
