It’s love day all!! And a perfect time to soak in all the good vibes this day brings.

It’s Valentine’s Day!

It’s Valentine’s Day (or as I like to call it, Love Day)!

To me, this day is all about expressing love openly to the world and internally, on all levels inside and out. Fill our hearts with all the good vibes so that we may share it with the world.

When we are love, we spread love.

It all starts with us. I know what you’re saying… that’s tough! I can’t love myself or think of myself this way, this is ego talking. It’s my duty to think of others first.

Trust me, I hear ya! This is something I continue to struggle with myself too. What is this self love business? Aren’t we supposed to put ourselves on the back burner and look after everyone else first?

The truth is that we need to remember to look after ourselves too. It’s important that we fill our own cup. To be more accepting of ourselves. To really and full love and accept every bit of ourselves, including our flaws.

We need to talk more kindly to ourselves. Look at yourself in the mirror and smile. You are beautiful and you are incredible!

Repeat the mantra, one of my absolute favorites from Louise Hay;

I love and accept myself where I am right now

Be happy with where you are right now in mind, body and spirit.

Love Day

On Instagram the last couple of weeks, we’ve been exploring tips and tricks to weave a little more self love into our daily lives. Let’s take a look, what have we got so far? The tips on the old social feed so far have been;

  • Read a book
  • Take time to unplug
  • Go to bed early
  • Make yourself a cup of coffee
  • Take time for yourself on the mat

And that’s not all… we’re continuing the theme of self love all month long. Really, we could probably think of enough tips and ideas to fill a month or two of social posts lol! Today, we are adding to the list.

Today we are adding meditation to this list. On this day, let’s soak in all the good stuff.

Self Love Meditation

Today, we dive a little deeper into a nice and short meditation. Get yourself all nice and comfy. Grab a blanket, pillow or get situated in your favorite chair. Sit up nice and tall. Place your hands on your knees with palms facing up or down.

Meditation can be done lying down even if this is more comfortable for you. Lie down on a yoga mat, your bed, the couch, on a blanket or right on the floor. Totally up to you.

You’re going to be here for about 15 minutes, so get comfy and stay warm.

Light a candle and dim the lights to add to the mood. Maye add some essential oils to lighten the senses.

Grab the famjam to join you and make it a whole circle of love.

When you’re all settled in, play this little meditation on love day for yourself.
